Questions
What exactly do I get?
Six files of the design you made: a 4000 × 5000 px PNG for print, a 1200 × 1500 px PNG for the web, an SVG vector you can scale to any size, a printable certificate of arms (US Letter, 300 dpi) with your blazon, its meaning and an optional "presented to" line, a 1080 px profile picture and a phone wallpaper. They download straight after payment.
What is the Heirloom set?
$19. Everything in the $9 set, plus the heirloom files: your crest as a traditional hatched engraving, two-tone and line-art SVG and PNG files for stamps, embroidery, Cricut and laser engraving, a round seal in colour and in solid black for a wax seal stamp, a coloring page, six bookplates, a tall house banner and an A4 certificate. A good choice for a family gift or a maker project.
What is the Crest Logo Kit?
The complete set, $29. You get everything in the $9 set, the heirloom files (below) and a logo pack: transparent logo PNGs and SVG, a shield-only version for small sizes, favicon and app icons, a profile picture and Discord icon, banners sized for X, LinkedIn and YouTube, and a brand sheet with your exact colors (HEX and RGB) and fonts, with a commercial-use license. Can I get a wax seal, stamp, signet ring or embroidery made from it?
Yes. The heirloom files (in the $19 Heirloom set and the $29 Logo Kit) include a round seal in solid black (the file wax seal and stamp makers ask for), two-tone and line-art SVGs for rubber stamps, Cricut, laser engraving and embroidery, and a traditional engraving that shows your colours with heraldic hatching, the way crests are engraved on signet rings and silver. Use "See it as" above the designer to preview each one.
Can I add a date, or make a wedding crest?
Yes. Add "Est. 1987" or your wedding date under the motto. For a couple, type both names with an ampersand (for example "Ava & James") and choose the "Your initial" emblem: it becomes an A&J monogram. See wedding crests.
Does it make a good gift?
Yes, that is one of the most common uses. Add the recipient under "Giving it as a gift?" and it prints on the certificate. Files arrive instantly, and the 4000 px print file is large enough to frame at about 13 by 16 inches at full print quality. See family crest gift ideas.
Can I use it commercially?
Yes. You can use your coat of arms for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, including printing, merchandise, logos and branding. See the Terms.
Is this a real, official coat of arms?
No. It is original decorative artwork in the style of heraldry. It is not a grant of arms from any heraldic authority and does not claim descent from any family.
Does it do anything in the Usurp game?
No. Crest Studio is a separate product. Buying artwork gives no rank, title, badge or advantage in the Usurp prototype.
