Castle Defense Game: Hold the Castle

The Usurper's host is at the gates. Hold the wall.

How to play

Tap or click the field to loose an arrow from the nearest tower. Arrows take a moment to fly, so aim ahead of moving foes.
Your quiver refills on its own: watch the arrows in the bottom corner.
Foes that reach the wall hack at it. Rams batter the gate, ladders climb, and catapults lob stones from out of reach.
After each wave, choose one reward: faster reloads, fire arrows, an archer for hire, boiling oil and more.

Phone and tabletTap the field to shoot. Tap OIL or VOLLEY when you have them.

ComputerClick to shoot. A pours boiling oil, D looses a volley.

Tips

Shoot the foes at the wall first: they are doing the damage right now.
Rams are slow but hit hard, so start on them early.
Catapults never come close. Long shots fly for longer, so lead them a little more.
Fire arrows burn everything near where they land: ideal for crowds.

Questions

Is there an end?

No. The waves keep coming and grow stronger. Your score counts every foe defeated and every wave held.

What do the rewards do?

Swifter hands reload faster, a bigger quiver holds more arrows, bodkin points hit harder and fire arrows burn nearby foes. A hired archer shoots on his own. Mason's repair and Stone on stone mend and strengthen the wall. Boiling oil and Volley are special attacks that recharge.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It is built for touch first and runs in any modern browser with no download.

Whose banner flies on the wall?

Yours, if you have designed a coat of arms in Crest Studio on this device. Until then a golden lion on blue flies there.
